Gum Pack

a) What is the feeling you wanted your gum package to portray? How did you achieve this?

The feeling I wanted my gum package to portray is feeling welcomed. I did this by using bright colours and also my tagline is more for the kids, also its title isn’t scary. I also used a cartoon version for my picture which stands out a lot.

 b) Who are you targeting your gum to? How did you achieve this?

I am targeting gum towards the kids from the age of 7-12, but also the teens might be interested in this gum package.

c) What area in your design did you use Photoshop?
I used Photoshop for the blueberries in the background. I used it to add a fliter and outline the the blueberries in white.

 d) More marks are given to designs that are custom created and not just taken from free vectors or free stock photography. What part of your gum package did you custom design?

I design the title of my gum package, the nutrition facts and giving a differnt look to the blueberries.

Logo’s

1. My logo represents my name: Raji=)

2. I had drew my logo on a paper first and then scanned it in, giving it a crayon affect.

The Cat and The Newspaper

One Eyed cat: For this assignment I copy and pasted the eye of the cat.  After copying and pasting, I flipped and free transformed it till it was in the same position to the cat’s other half face.

Ripped newpaper: For the part on the newspaper where I had to just copy paste the background. But it was hard getting Patty’s  face identical to the other half. I copy and pasted that part of her face and then rotated it around to set it in the right position. I also used the blur and burn tool to smoothen things out so it doesn’t look fake.

Layer Masks…Like Face Masks

layer-mask-image-1.jpgimages-2.jpg

a) What happens when you paint part of the layer mask
…black? …white? …grey?

When I used black for the layer mask the whole picture underneath showed, and when i used white nothing was able to show off (basically it blocked it). When i used the gray it showed  sum what of the orginal picture.
